You don't need to calculate duties yourself. Parcels to the UAE and other Gulf countries travel with Aramex under DDP: the calculator shows duties and taxes on a separate line, and you pay them with us at checkout, together with shipping.
For UAE parcels worth up to 1000 AED (about $272), only 5% VAT on the item value is charged. Above that, customs charges 5% duty and 5% VAT on the item value plus shipping and insurance, and Aramex adds a $5.50 fee. We show the amount at checkout, nothing extra at customs.
