If the customs limit is exceeded, you pay duty only on the amount above the limit, not on the full package value.
Say you order Apple AirPods Max for $549. The fixed fee is about $7, the duty about $48, and the broker fee 5% of (48+7) = $2.75. TOTAL: duty is $57.75
Weight limits stay the same. You can ship up to 31 kg of goods per month duty-free.

You don't pay duty if the total value of all goods in your package is no more than 200 euros. You can send several packages a month, but don't send them at the same time, since packages that reach customs together may be counted as one.
You can also avoid duty by sending packages to different recipients: your spouse, sister, brother, friends, and so on.
